Happy newyear you guys!!!

My question is.......where are all the pictures of the things you did last year with your cougie:-)

The only thing i am gonna do with the cougar this year is airride.......i hope it fits!!

Got some questions for you guys......i need complete new (sport)breaks.....front and rear, can you guys tell me what the best breakes are and where i can get them?

I also have new white face gauges with cougarlogo......is it hard to build it in?

The best breaks would be a complete new system. Not such change of pads and rotors (forget Zimmermann or Nordmann). They exists complete brake systems for the Mercury Cougar in the US, but they are still very expensive. A very competent partner for brake systems is: www.at-rs.de (they have everything you need).

Myself i am using Zimmermann rotors with EBC green stuff pads because of 2 facts....money and our "TÜV"

The pads are good, but forget the rotors .... :(

If we would not have our TÜV organisation in Germany i would prefer the Wilwood brake system (http://www.autoteile-ralf-schmitz.de/li ... 72a02.html). Perhaps in the Netherlands they would be possible?

The other kit i would admit is the Big Bear Break kit. but its really expensive !

a member (AZE Cougar) from the fordbord has the brakes on his cougar.

The Tarox Brakes looks good and they seem to be also really good and effective!

as far as i see they have no complete kits for the cougar. i could just find "bremsscheiben".

Ok, nach wie vor bereits umgesetzt:
- K&N offener LuFi - wird gerade erneuert
- Wolf-Sportauspuff(re/li)
- K A W Tieferlegung (Yellow-Springs VA40/HA30)
- Nebelscheinwerfer silber (ebenso Gitter vorn)
- 17" Fünfspeichen-Design Felgen auf Goodyear-Eagle F1
- Ascher-Dummi mit Katzenkopf Metall-Look

Was ich immer noch `rumliegen habe:
- Motorhaube (will Haube und Front ändern) - naja, ob das noch jemals was wird?
- Rückleuchtenabdeckung Mattig (für neue Rücklichter ohne Gnubbel) - Versuch liegt vorerst auf Eis
- ein gebrauchtes Cougar-EU-Rücklicht (selber Zweck - auch auf Eis gelegt)
- Chrysler Sebring Rückleuchten (dito)
- 2 Tachos (einer bereits auseinander gebastelt) - für´n Müll, der neue Tacho ist fast fertig, sieh unten
- diverse Tachoscheiben - eine kommt jetzt zum Einsatz
- bereits fertig gelieferte Angel-Eyes-Ringe (passend für Cougar, nebst Zubehör) - eingestampft bei dem Versuch, die Dinger einzusetzen
- verchromte Seitenblinker mit Lüftungsschlitzen (und S-Schriftzug) - vorerst keine Umsetzung, da ich die Kotflügel aufschlitzen müsste
- diverse US-Cougarembleme aus Metall verchromt (in schwarz) - eins wird den Hintern des Wagens zieren.


Bis Borken`07 geschafft (so denn alles klappt) :
- Tacho-Umbau mit Chromumrandung, k-tec Zifferblatt in weiß / silber und silbernen Original Cougar Nadeln
- Rücklichter der US-Version auf D umgerüstet
- Frontscheinwerfer Xenon komplett silber - sind fertig
- neue Kühlermaske - Eigencreation - ich hoffe, dass ich das Ding noch lackiert bekomme bis Freitag
- Cougar Emblem auf dem Heck - aber ein vernünftiges, nicht dieser Neumodische Rotz
- Schriftzug passend dazu aus dem VW-Konzern - bereits dran
- COUGAR-Schriftzug auf dem Aschenbecher
- silberne Seitenblinker

Nicht bis Borken zu schaffen (aber viel später evtl. einmal) :
- Front- & Haubenumbau
- Seitenblinker mit Kiemen

Was noch schön wäre (aber kaum realistisch) :
- Wasser-Transfer-Innenraum-Design
- Alcantara-/Leder-Kombi für Gestühl und Türinnenseiten
- Vortech-Turbo (mit allem Drum & Dran)
- Kotflügel-Verbreiterungen a la S-Concept z.B.
- Allrad-Antrieb

Man darf ja noch träumen!
